Traditional Family

Included in a typical definition are their adult parents and any biological children they have. A "traditional" is not the home of more than 50% of American children. For the children in these families to have a chance at a healthy development, the parents must work together to raise them.A common saying in Africa goes, "It takes a village to raise a child," implying that the community as a whole, not just the parents, are responsible for raising the child. It's true what they say. Grandparents, stepparents, neighbors, teachers, church leaders, doctors, and other adults in the community are just a few of the adults who have a significant impact on children in addition to their parents. One strategy for promoting your child's healthy development is co-parenting, not just with the biological parents of your child but also with other powerful adults in your neighborhood.
